Hosted by The Little Art Den in Kirkcudbright, this workshop is a fantastic way to be introduced to Powertex and fabric sculpting!

Carly has agreed to host us at her lovely craft workshop in the heart of Kirkcudbright.

You will learn all the basic techniques to get your started. You will learn how to cover different fabrics in Powertex, how to work in layers and use texture to create effects. You will also learn how to use the drybrushing technique and use mica powders with a binder to colour your work. Each notebook/sketchbook turns out totally unique.

You will create your very own A5 personalised lined notebook or art journal in this lovely workshop. There are lots of different themes to choose from to truly make your book unique! The products are all very easy to use and suitable for all ages and abilities. So whether you are new to Powertex or want to refresh your knowledge if you’ve not used it for a while, come along and join us.

Additional information:

£25 includes the 2026 special offer price of £20 plus venue hosting fees and refreshments. Materials include books, fabrics, clay embellisments and mdf pieces, although you are welcome to bring any small additional items to further personalise your book.

Please wear old clothes to the workshops as Powertex paint will absorb into clothing and will harden it. Powertex is made from a natural polymer, water based, non-toxic and environmentally friendly. It is a glue, hardener, paint and weatherproofing agent all in one product.
