Art & Craft Studio, Cummertrees Mill

Cummertrees Village sits a few miles outside of Annan and just 10 miles west of Gretna Green on the A75. Cummertrees is an ancient parish, bordering with Powfoot and the Solway Firth and is just a few miles from Dumfries, South West Scotland.

The studio is on Moss Road at Cummertrees Mill Farm, which is a 200 year old Grade 2 listed farmhouse and former corn mill just yards from the main village and walking distance from the main bus route. Buses run hourly most days between Annan and Dumfries. For group bookings, the studio sits up to 8 people (or 10 if you all know each other really well!), although please note numbers may be restricted depending on the size of the project. Alternatively if you have your own craft group which meets regularly, I can pack up the studio and come to you!

Stay and Play holidays

If you are planning on visiting Dumfries & Galloway, why not stay at the lovely Powfoot Golf Hotel, Queensberry Bay Holiday Park or the local Caravan Club site and enjoy a few days immersed in craft at the studio.

If you are travelling with someone, local attractions include Powfoot Golf Course, Westlands for clay pidgeon shooting and country park, or fly fishing at Newbie. There is shopping at the Gretna Gateway outlet centre or the bustling Annan high street with its many independent shops. You can also build in some tourist attractions during your stay, visiting castles such as Caerlaverock, Drumlanrig and Hoddom, visit the now internationally famous Dalscone Farm Park (home to Fiona, aka the ‘world’s loneliest sheep’) or do a whisky tasting tour of Annandale Distillery.

I will do my best to accommodate your request. Please aim to book well in advance, especially if you are looking for weekend dates as Saturdays and Sundays tend to book up very quickly.
