Highland Cow Workshop £85

from £0.00

Next workshop: Saturday 7 & 14 March 2026

Day 1 runs 10-4.30pm, and Day 2 for finishing runs 10-1.30pm (or another date to suit)

Come along and make this fabulous Highland Cow for your home or garden. Using recycled materials, wire, clay and fabrics, you will learn how to build and create this using the mixed media product Powertex. Powertex is a fabric hardening paint which also acts as a glue and weatherproofing agent. It is water based, non-toxic and environmentally friendly.

I’ll show you how to construct the frame, create clay from Powertex, add the clay creating the features and then cover in Powercotton fabric for texture. You can also have some fun creating an optional base, top hat or nose ring, or adding some embellishments to really personalise your cow/bull.

PLEASE NOTE: this class is 1.5 days (or 8-9 hours working time) as the clay and fabrics need time to dry before we colour it. If you can’t make the second date, we’ll organise a second day to finish your cow which suits your diary. This second day is usually a 2-3 hour session. All prices include the second session.

If there are no dates that suit, or if there are no workshop dates scheduled, please register your interest for this workshop and we’ll be in touch (there is no charge for this)
